Fold Table

We were commissioned to make an extending table for a small cottage in the Cotswolds. This versatile table has an ingenious folding mechanism perfect for the uneven flagstone floor. The two extra leaves are stored under the table top. The table seats eight and is made in sustainable oak sourced in Scotland.

This commissioning process can best be described by the customer who was kind enough to answer a couple of questions.

How did you find the process of commissioning with us?

It was an incredibly enjoyable and rewarding experience from beginning to end.  The inspiration to commission came from a visit to the showroom where we saw a beautiful table design with an elegant extending mechanism. Although we loved the table, it was too large and so we made some enquiries about a smaller version.  

We shared a simple brief of our intended use, dimensions etc., and sent photographs of our room to help Angus visualise the space.  It transpired the initial table we had seen in the showroom would have been unsuitable for our flagstone floor but disappointment soon changed to elation when we discovered that Angus had drawn up a new table design specifically for our space.

The process provided a lovely narrative and real meaning to our table which we absolutely love.

Any advice you would give to someone thinking of commissioning with us?

Visit the showroom (highly recommended) or use the website for inspiration, keep the brief simple and be clear about your likes and dislikes.  Help Angus and the team visualise the location of the furniture by sending photographs or videos and then let their expertise do the rest.
