Arch/Arc Console Table
A single arched at the front and reflecting semi-arches to the rear provide an interesting understructure for this console table. Many private commissions begin with an existing design reimagined in a different size, proportion or timber. A bespoke console table in sycamore for a Georgian entrance hall was the starting point for a larger console table in oak.
This design is reversible and provides an elegant framework for items displayed on the shelf.

We have a variety of techniques for achieving elegant curves and the arches above or arcs below are achieved by glueing together thin sections of wood over a former. Once dried this provides a strong, stable, precise curve ideal for providing an under-structure for the table top.
