RHS Chelsea 2024

21 - 25 May

Angus and Lorna at Chelsea Flower Show May 2024

We are thrilled to return to RHS Chelsea 2024 and will be bringing a new Clinker Bench shown above (similar to our Reflection Bench). It is constructed with steambent oak planks fixed with copper rivers. The Clinker Bench can be ordered through our on-line shop.

Creating our furniture is a slow process, as we begin with finding suitable local wood. The Clinker Bench was made with oak offered to us by Glen Lyon estate after Storm Arwen (November 2021). The first step was for tree surgeons to cut the trunks into butts, secondly get them to a place where they can be uplifted (near the Glen Lyon road, and thirdly move them to a place where a mobile saw mill can get alongside (a field in front of our house).

The planks then air-dried for a year in our yard in Aberfeldy, before they are ready for steam-bending and exterior furniture (wood for interior furniture goes through an extra kiln drying process).

Last year we were thrilled that our Dalerb garden Chair was nominated for RHS Chelsea Flower Show Sustainable Garden Product of the Year.

This year we have a new Dalerb Garden Lounge Chair to extend our Dalerb Garden Collection. The Dalerb Garden Lounge Chair can also be ordered through our on-line shop. It is styled below with a feather cushion with Angie Lewin - The Island fabric. Cushion can’t be permanently left outside.
